Smriti’s practice encompasses private equity and venture capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions, debt funding, and regulatory advisory. She advises institutional investors, corporates, and promoter-led businesses on deal structuring, negotiation, and execution of complex commercial transactions.
Her experience includes representing both investors and target companies in equity and structured debt transactions, including advising on term sheets, shareholder and debenture documentation, security creation, and trustee arrangements.
She has led legal due diligence exercises for strategic and financial acquirers and advised target companies in asset and business transfers. Smriti regularly counsels clients on intellectual property rights, licensing, and copyrights split sheets, particularly in the context of the creative and media industries. She also assists with enforcement of copyright and contractual rights in commercial litigation.
