Sigma Chambers leads funding readiness session at Amity Innovation Incubator

Abhinav Goyal, Partner, and Smriti Poddar, Of Counsel, spoke at Amity Innovation Incubator on 25 June 2026 on funding readiness for early-stage startups. The session took founders through the legal and commercial preparation involved in raising capital, from identifying an investor and preparing for due diligence to negotiating transaction documents and meeting post-investment requirements.

The discussion covered founder arrangements, employee stock options, cap tables and dilution, as well as the choice of funding instruments and a walkthrough of a term sheet. Amity Innovation Incubator subsequently shared a recording of the session, including a funding-readiness checklist, for founders who wished to revisit the discussion.
