Real Estate Developers from Across the NCR Attend CREDAI NCR’s New Labour Codes Workshop

CREDAI NCR brought together more than 100 real-estate developers from the National Capital Region for a workshop on the new Labour Codes at The Claridges, New Delhi, on 14 October 2026. Sigma Chambers was the knowledge partner for the session, which addressed employment and compliance questions across corporate offices, construction projects and contractor networks. Hon’ble Justice J.K. Maheshwari (Retd.), former Judge of the Supreme Court of India, addressed the participants. Partners Abhinav Goyal and Kushank Sindhu participated alongside Apoorv Jain, Director, One Group Developers.

The workshop covered the four Labour Codes through practical questions about wage calculations, statutory benefits, contract labour and the respective responsibilities of developers, contractors and labour suppliers. Participants also discussed building-worker welfare, migrant labour, construction cess, site safety, employment arrangements and compliance records. A 29-question resource prepared for the real-estate sector supported the discussion, with material for developers and their HR, finance and site teams.
